Legal

Terms for a shared creator-program ledger.

These terms govern access to Affiliate1A, an early-access service operated by Book 1A LLP. By using the service, you agree to them for yourself and the organisation you represent.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these terms and provide accurate account information. Brand administrators are responsible for inviting appropriate users, assigning correct roles, protecting credentials, and removing access that is no longer required.

Program responsibility

Brands control creator approvals, discount and commission terms, product eligibility, return windows, payout decisions, tax treatment, and their relationship with each creator. Creators are responsible for lawful and accurate promotion, required disclosures, and appropriate use of their assigned code.

Affiliate1A records operational facts supplied by users and supported integrations. It does not act as a bank, payment intermediary, employer, marketplace, or guarantor of a commercial relationship.

Attribution and payouts

Attribution depends on an approved code or another explicitly supported signal appearing on an eligible order. Store configuration, discount combinations, edits, cancellations, refunds, and delayed provider events can affect the final ledger. Brands should reconcile material payouts before paying them.

Affiliate1A does not send money. A payout record should be created only after the brand completes payment outside the service. Users must not enter a false, reused, or misleading settlement reference.

Acceptable use

  • Do not access another organisation's, creator's, or customer's information without authority.
  • Do not bypass authentication, webhook verification, rate limits, or Shopify installation controls.
  • Do not submit unlawful, deceptive, infringing, malicious, or materially inaccurate content.
  • Do not use Affiliate1A to create duplicate commissions, false orders, or fabricated payout evidence.

Early access and availability

Early-access functionality may change, and access may be reviewed, limited, or withdrawn. The current offer is free during early access; it is not a promise that the service will remain free. We may introduce pricing with advance notice before charging for continued use.

Data and integrations

Your use of Shopify and other third-party services remains subject to their terms. You authorise Affiliate1A to process program data and call connected services only as needed to provide the selected workflows. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend access to protect users, a connected store, or the service; investigate misuse; comply with law; or respond to a material breach. You may request account closure, subject to retention needed for reconciliation, security, disputes, and legal obligations.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an early-access, as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, Book 1A LLP disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, creator or merchant disputes, third-party outages, or decisions made from unreconciled data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before starting formal proceedings, the parties should attempt to resolve a dispute in good faith. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@book1a.com.
